Meet the Administrative Team
Mr. Johnathan Hall, Principal
A proud native of Kinston, NC, Mr. Hall is a passionate educator with more than 10 years of experience in education. Prior to becoming the principal of Global Impact Academy, Mr. Hall served as assistant principal in Fayette County Public Schools. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Morehouse College, a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University, and an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.
Mr. Hall began his career at Fulton County Schools as a high school social studies teacher. During his tenure in this role, he served as the department chair, school governance council chair, member of the school improvement leadership team, AVID site team member, and district teacher selector. Mr. Hall transitioned to Fayette County Public Schools in the role of assistant principal at Fayette County High School. He was instrumental in fostering a school culture of high academic expectations and collective teacher efficacy in the belief that all students can and will learn, designing and implementing programs to accelerate student learning, and facilitating professional learning communities in which teachers focused on collaboration, data driven instruction, and perfect practice. Ms. Chasity Mosley, Assistant Principal
Ms. Mosley is a dedicated educational leader with over two decades of experience in mathematics education and school administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Clark-Atlanta University, as well as a Master of Education in Secondary Mathematics and an Education Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning from Georgia State University.
Ms. Mosley has dedicated much of her career to Fulton County Schools and the Fairburn community. She has served as a Mathematics Teacher, Department Chair, Instructional Coach, Administrative Assistant, and Assistant Principal. She is a passionate educator who leads with a focus on fostering academic excellence and cultivating supportive learning environments.
Dr. Samantha B. Oliver, Assistant Principal
Dr. Samantha B. Oliver is a dedicated educator with over 23 years of experience, including 19 in Fulton County Schools. She has served as an ELA teacher, Department Chair, Literacy Coach, and Humanities Program Specialist. Dr. Oliver holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Edward Waters University, as well as a master’s and doctorate in Educational and Instructional Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Joining the GIA family in 2024, she is honored to be part of the team.
Beyond her career, Dr. Oliver is a wife and mother who enjoys traveling and family time. Her teaching philosophy focuses on preparing students to excel academically and thrive in a complex world - emphasizing reflection, innovation, and a growth mindset.
Mr. Derek Johnson, Administrative Assistant
Mr. Johnson has dedicated over 10 years to the field of education, holding various positions across different educational levels. A native of New Orleans, LA, he completed his undergraduate studies in Project Management at DeVry University after attending Morris Brown College. Mr. Johnson furthered his education at Grand Canyon University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Special Education and received his Educational Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia. His diverse experience includes roles as a paraprofessional, behavioral interventionist, teacher, and department chair, among other roles. Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Johnson enjoys quality time with his family, traveling, exercising, and positively influencing youth.
Ms. Tamela Richardson, Administrative Assistant
Tamela Richardson is a dedicated and accomplished educator with over 30 years of experience inspiring students and supporting teachers. She earned her B.A. in English with a minor in Education from Florida State University, followed by an M.A. in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in English and Social Studies. Her educational journey reflects her commitment to academic excellence and lifelong learning.
Tamela began her teaching career in Florida, where she taught for eight years before moving to Fulton County, Georgia. Over the past 22 years, she has served as an English Language Arts TAG teacher and Department Chair at Sandy Springs Middle School and at Taylor Road Middle School as an English Language Arts TAG teacher, Instructional Coach, and Administrative Assistant. Known for her dedication to her students and innovative teaching methods, she was honored as Teacher of the Year in both 2011 and 2013.
In 2021, Tamela joined the inaugural staff of Global Impact Academy as the English Language Arts Department Chair, where she played a key role in establishing the school’s academic standards and culture. Her dedication to education and leadership earned her a promotion to Administrative Assistant, a role she has embraced with the same passion she brings to every endeavor. As an FCS Vanguard Technology Leader, Tamela is committed to helping teachers integrate technology into the classroom to foster personalized and engaging learning experiences.
